Energy Feasibility Studies
A feasibility study provides a rigorous technical and financial appraisal of a proposed investment. During the energy audit processes potential investments in equipment are often identified. Depending on the cost of the equipment, it may be appropriate to undertake a feasibility study.
EMD can undertake detailed feasibility study of energy plants. In addition to addressing and optimising the technical feasibility, we undertake a full financial analysis consisting of quantifying potential energy savings, capital and operational costs. This information is then used to calculate either the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) or Discount Rate (where appropriate) to enable management decision-making. Greenhouse gas emissions savings will also be assessed.
