Below an example of a typical EMD report is given: Energy calculation report (for project financing)

(Typically, the wind farm layout and turbine type are given, but layout can also be designed by EMD and EMD can support in finding the more suitable turbine types for the specific site)

1. Executive summary / conclusion with main result
2. Site and project (Background, Site inspection notes (if any), like mast check.
3. Available data and sources of information; Reference turbines and their expected long term yield, availability corrected.
4. Calculation model and method description.
5. Terrain description (Height contours, roughness and obstacles)
6. Wind data (measurements, reference data and long term correlation – ending up with wind statistic (or starting from wind statistic) plus verification of wind statistic (by ref. WTGs or other wind data sources) and model handling of site (like cross predictions, wind profiles etc.))
7. Calculations (set-up, parameters, like WDC, Air density etc.), different variants, OMM etc. Wind resource map – if not given layout eventually Optimization or just layout proposal) -> Result: Calculated Gross AEP.
8. Loss & uncertainty evaluation including power curve evaluations (also for ref. WTGs)
9. Detailed calculation results (divided on turbines (as graph if many)) – loss and uncertainty reduced results, Probability of exceedence, comparisons to other calculation reports etc.
10. Optional: Site compliance analyses – calculation
