License Activation

The license activation system in version 2.7 has been changed. In version 2.7, you will have to enter your e-mail address when activating the license through our activation server. Subsequently you will receive an e-mail with a code from our activation server, which you have to insert to complete the activation of the license. An advantage of this new system is that we will have all users’ email addresses in our system and are able to inform them of important updates, critical issues etc.

In order for you to activate your WindPRO license on both your office computer and your laptop, home computer or a terminal server, we allow the same e-mail address to activate a license twice. However, you cannot activate more licenses than you have purchased. Also, please note that you must deactivate your activation(s) before someone else can use the free activation.

The new license activation procedures have been implemented, so they are in accordance with our license agreement terms, which for several years have included a clause allowing simultaneous use of a license on both an office computer and a laptop.

Together with the new license activation procedures, we have also made it easier to deactivate a license and thus make it available for another user. Previously, you had to run the whole activation process to deactivate a license. In version 2.7 you can just select “Deactivate” under “Options” in the top bar, and the license will be deactivated and ready to be used by your colleague (Internet connection required for deactivation).
