| 20.12.2011 | WindPRO 2.8 features In 2012 we plan to release the new version 2.8 of WindPRO. This version will contain a completely new Site Compliance module for checking turbine suitability according to IEC standards. Depending on the site complexity, users can prepare detailed site suitability analyses based on mast data or by using WAsP or WAsP Engineering V3 software as flow models in the WindPRO calculations. WindPRO V2.8 will also include the Nord2000 noise model for advanced noise calculations. The new version will have a modernized user interface and have full integration with Google Earth. New on-line data sets will also be included in V2.8 e.g. MERRA data, which is a 30-year wind data set covering land and coastal areas for the entire globe in a much better resolution then the present NCEP/NCAR data set. In addition, V2.8 will also include the Blended Sea Winds data set with 25 years of wind data suitable for offshore projects up to 100 km from land. Several other new features will be included in V2.8, and we hope you will enjoy working with these once V2.8 is released. |

| 01.12.2011 | New base layer added to Open Street Map A new base layer, "CycleMap" has been added to the Open Street Map in WindPRO. Unlike other layers, this layer includes height contours. You can switch layer in the Open Street Map view by clicking the "+"-sign in the upper right corner. |
| 08.08.2011 | Closing down access to on-line data from 2.6 We have closed the EMD on-line data access in WindPRO 2.6. The data access is from now on ONLY accessible from version 2.7. If you want to continue the access to the on-line data in version 2.7, please contact your local agency to receive a quote. |
