• Spatial planning of WTG's and environmental impact analysis of WTG's using WindPRO 2.4 / WindPLAN WindPRO 2.4 (to be released medio 2003) comes with a new module aimed for spatial planning and environmental impact analysis. The module consists of several tools: A new model for calculating the visible impact of a wind turbine; calculation of pollution and resource savings; a tool for checking legislative distance requirements and also a planners tool for weighting the wind resource versus the protection interests. The tools have been tested through a case study on the municipality of Nibe, Denmark. This study was presented at the EWEA 2003 conference. See the poster from the conference pdf - 1.5 Mb.
