WindPRO animation
Since the visual impression has been an important topic in the negotiations with the authorities, a visualisation report was made by the architect company "Møller og Grønborg" to illustrate the visual impact of the various layouts. In addition to support this presentation animations of the final layout was made.
In figure 3 the final layout is shown and also one of the camera points is shown. This is in fact the same camera point which was used for the Lynetten Project, right next to The little Mermaid at the harbour in Copenhagen, a place visited by many people. The described process in the following text can be reproduced using the WindPRO project that can be downloaded for the Lynetten project.
Figure 4: The camera model is calibrated in WindPRO PHOTOMONTAGE.
The picture taken at this camera point was imported into WindPRO into a camera model (figure 4). The camera model was calibrated to fit reality by using four reference points, in this case the factory buildings and the island fortress are superb reference points since they can also be found on the map with good precision. Another very unique option in this case is to use the existing Lynetten windfarm to adjust the camera model. To calibrate the model simply means to set the camera object to "see" in the right direction, use the right focal length, set the time and date for the picture and so on. In this case the camera model is correctly callibrated when a rendering will place an exact copy of the Lynetten windturbines on top of the one on the picture.
