Wind Europe Offshore Copenhagen

Last Thursday has been an exciting day for us at EMD where we had the chance to present our results from two areas of research at the Wind Europe Offshore Conference in Copenhagen:

R&D Manager Lasse Svenningsen explained how the energy spectrum of hourly mesoscale data can be corrected to recover the full variability of a 10-minute time series. This correction opens up the door to use mesoscale data as “if it was a real mast”.

Senior Wind Consultant Henrik Pedersen presented insight into temporal wake modelling for offshore wind farms and how time-varying wake decay constants can help to bring the modelled wake losses closer to the truth.
