Next week EMD has a presentation at the Wind Turbine Noise conference in Lisbon titled “How Critical is Low Frequency Noise in Micrositing”.
The purpose of this presentation is to examine if low frequency noise is a critical siting parameter in three of those countries that have regulations on low frequency noise. Using a host of current but anonymized wind turbine technologies we investigate which factors may make low frequency noise critical for the wind farm layout, such as wind farm size, noise reduced operation, receptor description and noise target values. Would it make sense to roll out low frequency noise guidelines to other countries or is it a problem solved?
